B List Genes

This category represents gene models for which sufficient experimental data exists (typically >50% of exons with overlapping evidence/at least two different types of evidence such as RNA-seq, ESTs/cDNAs, peptides...) to suggest that they are expressed. However, curators were not able to annotate full-length protein-coding gene structures for these models and could therefore not integrate these in the TAIR10 release. We are planning on replacing some of these 'B-list' models with protein-coding models in future releases.
